Continuous improvement · Standard work · Execution

Better work,
built to last.

ItsSmartWork helps organizations improve critical processes, create clear standard work, and build the accountability needed to sustain results—long after the workshop ends.

The process is not the problem. The real opportunity is creating a shared view of the work—and a practical way to improve it.

The plan exists, but execution has stalled.

What we help teams do

Solve the work. Strengthen the system.

The work that matters most rarely stays within one department. ISW brings the right people together to make the process visible, focus the team, and build a better way forward.

The ISW way

Improvement should feel practical—not theoretical.

Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and Toyota Production System principles are tools—not the product. The product is a better way of working.

01

Align around the real problem

Clarify purpose, scope, stakeholders, and the measures that matter before the work begins.

02

See the work as it is today

Map the current state, surface pain points, and identify the few issues worth solving first.

03

Design a better way forward

Develop countermeasures, future-state workflows, clear ownership, and an actionable plan.

04

Make it part of daily work

Use standard work, leadership routines, and the right systems to sustain momentum.

Typical outcomes

The goal is not a better-looking process map.

It is work that moves with fewer surprises, clearer ownership, and greater confidence—supported by standards that do not disappear after the event.

01

Fewer preventable errors and handoff misses

02

Less rework and time spent chasing information

03

Faster, more consistent problem resolution

04

Clearer ownership across cross-functional teams

05

Improvements that become part of daily work

A practical starting point

A few common questions.

Every engagement is designed around the work at hand, the people involved, and the outcome that matters most.

How much time does a working session require?
The right format depends on the scope and desired outcome. A focused half-day can create alignment around a narrow problem. A full-day or multi-session format gives the team more room to map the work, design countermeasures, and build momentum together.
Should the process map be created before or during the session?
That depends on whether the current process and pain points are already well understood. Mapping together creates a shared view of the real work and often surfaces perspectives no one team can see alone. When the current state is broadly agreed upon, prework can create more time for solutioning.
Who should be in the room?
The strongest teams combine people who work directly in the process, people who touch it upstream or downstream, and influential leaders who can help move practical countermeasures forward. The goal is the right perspectives—not the biggest meeting.
What happens after the session?
The work should leave the room with ownership. ISW helps translate priorities into an action plan with accountable owners, a practical follow-through rhythm, and the tools needed to sustain progress.

Start with the work

Have a process that is harder than it should be?

Start with a brief conversation about the work, the people involved, and the outcome that matters most. Together, we can determine the right way forward.
